Personal Shoot 5

With this shoot I wanted to play withe scale manipulation with models and landscape. I Photoshopped two photographs but I don't think they worked as well as I hoped.

I tried to experiment with different ways of showing scale manipulation. I used a tilt shift technique to create the depth illusion. I don't think this works as much as I wanted it to. I think the lighting of the car and the shadowing doesn't work with the landscape. I think I can improve on this with more time and maybe a different image of a car to make it work better. I like the idea of using tilt shift and I would like to use it more for the surrealism illusion.

This Photoshopping needs touching up a bit more as well. I think it's the way the leg looks too flat and placed into the background instead of looking a part of it. I think I could have done more shadowing on the foot or changed the lighting slightly to make it more in tune with the rest of the photograph. Next time I hope to improve on my skills and try to take photographs of my model in the right position so it is easier to Photoshop.

I would still like to carry on trying to achieve this scale manipulation technique and work on it a bit more. I may try it for my future shoot so I can gain some skills in the technique.
