Personal Shoot 8
This is my 8th shoot for this personal project, I used the studio to create the surrealistic illusion I wanted. I didn't think I would like the red background but I would really like to use it again because it means something as well as it looks professional and it makes any colour stand out. I usually wear black or darker colours so if I were to do the self shoots I usually do, I could use this background to make myself more noticeable.
I came up with these ideas a few weeks ago but I didn't have the models to pull of the ideas I had. The face swapping image is an idea I posted but hadn't had the models or the time to do recently. I'm glad I tried, I think it could have been a bit more professional looking but it was only a quick idea and edit that I wanted to try out for myself. If I were to to something with surrealism again, I would like to pursue this idea a bit more and develop it to make it more realistic.
The hole in the stomach idea I had was something I thought of a few days ago, I am going to develop it further in January to make the hand go through the hole in an illusive way. I think it would look more realistic and creative if the hand was going through the hole. I would have liked the hole to have more depth to make it look more realistic.
The third photograph I thought of on the spot and I didn't even know if I could do it. I used the healing tool to make it look as if Jamie's body wasn't even there. I think it looks as if I placed his head on top of her hand but in reality, his head was resting on Natasha's hand there, all I had to do was get rid of Jamie's body. I would like to do something more on this and develop it into a more of my next project if it relates to it.
The last photograph was the montage technique I learnt to do with the layer mask and the gradient tool. I used three different photographs and put them together as if they were different people.
